ARC Application/Extension/Lost/Damage  

【What is Alien Residence Certificate】

＞ Alien Residence Certificate is the ID card for all overseas/ international students in Taiwan. Please preserve it properly and keep to the staying period at all times. Furthermore, whether you enter Taiwan with a resident visa or not, you must apply for ARC within 30 days of the arrival date.

【How to apply and prepare for Alien Residence Certificate】

(2) Two-inch photo electronic file (white background, one photo without hat)

(3) Passport and residence visa electronic files

(4) Electronic copy of Enrollment Certificate

(5) Electronic copy of the health check certificate within three months

(6) Electronic file of residence certificate or rental agreement

【Application Fee】

＞ NT$1000 per renewal or extension

＞ Those who seek for a replacement because of loss or damage must pay a replacement charge of NT$ 500.

【Matters needing attention】

＞ Foreigners having ARC can enter and depart the nation many times within the validity duration of the permission. There is no reason to apply for a residence permit again. Please preserve it properly.

＞ Foreigners who change their residential address or service location throughout their residency period must complete an online replacement of their residence permit within 30 days.

【Precautions for Handling Extensions】

＞Those who do not apply for extension within the duration of residence:

   (1) Abolish the parties’ residency status and restrict their movement overseas

  (2) Those who have exceeded the residence deadline by 29 days and still have the primary reason for seeking for residence  may reapply for academic residence after being fined. A fine of NT$ 10000 will be imposed for 1-10 days of delay, and NT$ 20000 for 11-29 days of delay.

   (3) Overstaying for more than 30 days will be considered illegal residence and deportation

Medical Examination

【On-campus Health Examination Regulations】

＞ In the first and third years of enrollment or restart of studies, one should undertake a health examination on the school scheduled date.

【Required Documents and Fees】

(1) Student Health Information Card of Shih Hsin University ⇐Click!

(2) Two 2-inch photos (within 6 months)

(3) Health Examination Fee: NT$500

Withdraw in Taiwan

＞ Please check that your bank withdrawal card can be used overseas and confirm the maximum withdrawal limit

＞ Some banks will freeze your card if you withdraw more than the maximum amount allowed. Please try to increase the withdrawal limit to at least NT$40,000 per day to make it easier to pay tuition and other expenses in Taiwan during your first few days.

Student Dormitory

＞ After admission is validated, the dormitory center will open online registration and send you an email asking you to apply.
